The Process
When our cleaning team first arrives at our move-in/move-out project, we do a walk-around of the property to establish an assessment of what needs to be done, who will be handling it, and in what sequence. For example, typically for a 2000 sq foot 2-story home, one cleaner will start on the 2nd level and the other cleaner will begin in the basement. This way they can meet on the main floor to tackle the kitchen and remaining rooms together, while leaving the top and bottom floors spotless and continuing to do the same on the main floor before completing their tasks.
When beginning cleaning in any room, we always start at the highest points and work down to the floors to prevent any dust and debris from falling onto the already cleaned surfaces. From there our process is quite standard as we move through the rest of the home and do the
following:
- a full dust and wipe down of all surfaces, shelves, window sills, and baseboards
- wall spot washing (unless the client required a full wall washing to be completed)
- cleaning inside and outside of all kitchen appliances and kitchen and bathroom cabinets,
- pantries, closets and shelves
- full bathroom deep clean and sanitization
- vacuuming and mopping of all flooring
- any last detailed finishing touches

How long does a move-out clean take?

Absolutely. Most move-out cleans include the inside and outside of your kitchen appliances and kitchen and bathroom cabinets. This ensures that the home is move-in ready for the next tenant, and they can just come in and start unpacking!
Do I need to be at the house while you’re doing the move-out clean?
Not at all, most of our clients are not there while we are completing their cleanings. You are able to provide access to the property by opening it prior to our cleaners arrival, providing the code to the door, or key handoff at a desired location. Once the cleaning is finished, we turn off all lights, lock all doors and let you know that they are leaving the property.
